Now you can react to comment threads on TeamMood

You’ve always been able to react with a smiley to a main piece of feedback. Now, you can do the exact same thing inside the discussion threads.

If a teammate leaves a great reply or a helpful follow-up, you can quickly show your support or agreement with a smiley directly on that specific comment.

It’s a small tweak to make deeper discussions a bit more interactive while keeping things fast.

Backlog Labeling for Managers

As your team provides feedback and action items accumulate, keeping your backlog organized is crucial. To help managers stay on top of team trends and keep the backlog clean, we are introducing Backlog Labeling.

This feature gives managers a quick, flexible way to categorize, sort, and eventually analyze team feedback items.

Flexible Categorization

Managers can easily tag backlog items to keep everything structured without adding any friction for the rest of the team.

  • Predefined & Custom Labels: Start organizing instantly with common pre-set categories (like Process, Tooling, or Workload), or create your own custom labels to match your specific team dynamics.

  • Manager-Only Control: To keep the workflow streamlined, the ability to view, create, and apply these labels is restricted entirely to managers.

Appreciation, Your Way

Appreciation isn't "one size fits all." While public recognition is great for a team-wide celebration, sometimes a personal "thank you" carries just as much weight.

You now have the option to make Kudos private. Whether it’s a sensitive project or just a quiet moment of gratitude, you can now ensure your message reaches exactly who it needs to—and nobody else.

Next time you go to brighten someone’s day, look for the new Privacy Toggle in the Kudos composer!

From Feedback to Action with Triage & Backlog

Listening to your team is the first step—taking action is where the magic happens. Today, we’re launching a completely redesigned workflow to help you manage team feedback with more focus, better collaboration, and zero "feedback amnesia."

1. Speed through your Triage

Stop feeling overwhelmed by a long list of new comments. Our new Triage screen allows you to process new items one by one in seconds:

  • Keep it for your Backlog if it needs a plan.

  • Dismiss it to the Timeline if it’s just for information.

  • Reply immediately for quick wins.

  • Pro-tip: Use your arrow keys to fly through your Triage even faster!

2. A Strategic Action Backlog

Everything you "Keep" is now organized in a dedicated Backlog. This is your team-to-do list where nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Track Status: Move items from To Review to In Progress and finally Resolved.

  • Deep Dive: Open any item to see the full context, mood trends, and history in one focused workspace.

3. Private Manager Collaboration 🔒

Some feedback needs a bit of internal alignment before you respond. You can now start Private Discussions directly inside any Backlog item.

  • @Mention a fellow manager to get their perspective.

  • Full Confidentiality: These chats are strictly for managers—the team will never see these internal reflections.

4. Close the Loop, Your Way

When you're ready to act, you have more than just a text box. From the Backlog, you can now:

  • Post a Reply to the team.

  • Send a Kudos to celebrate positive vibes.

  • Launch a Poll to gather more data on the topic.

We built these features to make your life as a manager easier, and we’d love to hear how they’re working for you.

Take action on feedback

As a user, I can select some feedback and create action items to follow up on something happening, so that I can practically improve the working environment of the team and enter a Continuous Improvement process.

I have access to a dedicated space to organize saved feedback and discuss next steps privately with your fellow managers using @mentions.
