From Feedback to Action with Triage & Backlog

Listening to your team is the first step—taking action is where the magic happens. Today, we’re launching a completely redesigned workflow to help you manage team feedback with more focus, better collaboration, and zero "feedback amnesia."

1. Speed through your Triage

Stop feeling overwhelmed by a long list of new comments. Our new Triage screen allows you to process new items one by one in seconds:

  • Keep it for your Backlog if it needs a plan.

  • Dismiss it to the Timeline if it’s just for information.

  • Reply immediately for quick wins.

  • Pro-tip: Use your arrow keys to fly through your Triage even faster!

2. A Strategic Action Backlog

Everything you "Keep" is now organized in a dedicated Backlog. This is your team-to-do list where nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Track Status: Move items from To Review to In Progress and finally Resolved.

  • Deep Dive: Open any item to see the full context, mood trends, and history in one focused workspace.

3. Private Manager Collaboration 🔒

Some feedback needs a bit of internal alignment before you respond. You can now start Private Discussions directly inside any Backlog item.

  • @Mention a fellow manager to get their perspective.

  • Full Confidentiality: These chats are strictly for managers—the team will never see these internal reflections.

4. Close the Loop, Your Way

When you're ready to act, you have more than just a text box. From the Backlog, you can now:

  • Post a Reply to the team.

  • Send a Kudos to celebrate positive vibes.

  • Launch a Poll to gather more data on the topic.

We built these features to make your life as a manager easier, and we’d love to hear how they’re working for you.

Take action on feedback

As a user, I can select some feedback and create action items to follow up on something happening, so that I can practically improve the working environment of the team and enter a Continuous Improvement process.

I have access to a dedicated space to organize saved feedback and discuss next steps privately with your fellow managers using @mentions.

📈 New: Master the Long Game with Recurring Polls

One-off questions are great for a snapshot, but understanding the "why" behind team dynamics requires seeing the "how" over time.

We’ve introduced Recurring Polls to help you move from reactive fixes to proactive leadership. Now, you can automate your feedback loops and visualize trends on the topics that matter most.

What’s New?

  • Automated Scheduling: Set any poll to repeat on a weekly or monthly cadence.

  • Trend Identification: By asking the same question at regular intervals, you can now track the "delta"—see exactly how workload, clarity, or morale shifts across different project phases.

  • Set and Forget: Configure your recurring pulse once, and TeamMood handles the rest, ensuring you never miss a critical check-in.

Why use it?

Instead of wondering if your team is feeling burnt out this week, you can now look at a 3-month trend line. It’s the difference between seeing a rainy day and understanding the climate of your team.

How to get started:

When creating a new poll, look for the option in the Schedule settings. Choose your frequency, and you’re ready to start gathering longitudinal data.

Not sure where to start? Try these recurring templates:

To get the most out of trend tracking, we recommend setting these up on a recurring basis:

  • The Workload Pulse

"On a scale of 1-10, how manageable was your workload this week?" Goal: Identify burnout trends.

  • The Alignment Check

"Do you feel you have all the information you need to do your job effectively?" Goal: Track if communication is improving or degrading during long projects.

  • The Growth Metric (every month)

"In the last 30 days, have you felt you’ve had the opportunity to learn and grow?" Goal: Monitor long-term engagement and professional satisfaction.

  • The Process Friction Check

"Are our current tools and processes helping or hindering your speed today?" Goal: See if new software or workflow changes are actually making an impact.
